UPCOMING GATHERINGS AT FPC
WORSHIP AT FPC
Dear Church Family,
We are now in the Second Week of Lent, continuing to walk this sacred journey toward the cross. Lent invites us to slow down, to pay attention, and to open our hearts to the quiet but powerful ways God is at work. Even in the smallest moments, God’s Kingdom is growing among us.
This Sunday’s Scripture: Matthew 6:9-13
This week, we turn to a familiar yet deeply profound passage: The Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus teaches His disciples to pray with simplicity, humility, and trust, reminding us that prayer is not about performance but about connection with God.
“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
This prayer is not just words to recite—it is an invitation to live differently, to align our hearts with God’s purposes, and to trust that even our smallest prayers are heard.
A Practice for the Week Ahead: Plant Something Small
On Sunday, we were invited into a simple but profound practice:
Plant something small.
- This could be literal—planting a seed and watching it grow as a reminder of how faith takes root and flourishes.
- Or it could be spiritual—planting something in your relationships or community: a word of encouragement, a small act of kindness, a prayer for someone in need.
The most important ingredient? Love.
Each evening, take a moment to reflect:
- Where did I notice the small movements of God’s kingdom today?
- How can I nurture what God is growing in me?
Lent is not just about what we give up—it is about how we make space for what God is planting and growing in us. May this week be one where you notice the small but powerful ways God’s presence is at work in and around you.
Looking forward to worshiping with you this Sunday!
With grace and peace,
Pastor Taeler
